Cold Call Zen See, Top Telemarketing Speaker & Customer Service Speaker Smiles
What if you could cold call in utter calmness, as you might imagine the way a Zen master brings a cool cup of water from a well to his lips?
Wouldn't that be nifty? What's standing in your way?
It's probably run of the mill fear. People are afraid to cold call for a number of reasons.
For one thing, they fear rejection. Also, they're concerned they'll sound foolish, or they'll be laughed or screamed at, or hung-up on.
All of these cold calling events contribute to a feeling of high pressure on the caller, who in turn, pressures prospects, causing unnecessary failure and bruised feelings.
Here are five tips for accomplishing a Zen-like state of mind for cold calling:
(1) Don't hold yourself to artificial goals that you "think" are achievable, such as one appointment per hour or two sales per day. Even if someone else achieved these outcomes, yours will probably vary.
(2) Always warm-up prospects by asking how they are, but only after you have disclosed your identity and your company name. Ask without telling first, and you'll create suspicion, increasing tensions.
(3) Every "no" you hear is a good thing, signalling you're closer to a yes. Plus, you can and should adjust your message to improve based on corrective feedback.
(4) Watch your coffee intake! If you're too buzzed, you'll sound agitated and impatient--very un-Zen like.
(5) Enjoy yourself, because you're meeting people that are all unique. Find that special quality and celebrate it.
Cold calling is a blast, especially if we approach it in a tranquil, productive frame of mind.

Hiding Your Affiliate Link
There are definitely some secrets that affiliate marketers don't know about the importance of hiding your affiliate link. Hiding your affiliate is not the same as protecting your link. If you are a new affiliate marketer, you just don't know this YET and if you are a veteran affiliate marketer, you just might not realize that times are a changing on Google and other search engines, and Google knows better now than to rank a website with many affiliate links! Also, new bright ideas come into the minds of hackers as the years go by.
First, want to get the commission for your hard earned sales and you do not want any slick programmer to make a program or software to steal your affiliate commission! It is downright wrong!!! But it is a reality that we have to live with! Link hijacking is out there. Using an original affiliate link, without even cloaking it is giving a gift to hijackers. That code is easily trackable and they could just go ahead and steal your affiliate link and turn it into their sales!
A second reason you want to hide and protect your affiliate link is that affiliate programs change all the time. As an affiliate, you do not have any control over when a product or program you are promoting will be discontinued. As a hard working affiliate, you should be all over the internet! Busy making hub pages, Squidoo lenses, writing articles, social media marketing and more!!! What happens if the product is discontinued? All of that effort literally stops producing income, unless I go to each article, Squidoo Lens, etc., and modify those links. Unfortunately this is very, very time consuming.
After reading up to here - you should never use pure affiliate links again. You simply need to redirect those links from a website that you own. This act is called "link cloaking". By cloaking your affiliate link, you are protecting your link from being stolen. Also, if the product you are promoting discontinues, you can easily change the affiliate link from a centralized place instead of going back and changing everything you've ever created.
